Job Description

Front office assistant for Mobile Wound Healing serves as liaison for the nurse practitioners that provide wound care services. Mobile Wound Healing delivers wound care services at patients' residences, including their homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Independent Living Facilities.

This role involves administrative tasks (calling in prescriptions and adding in verbal orders as needed), answering clinical phone calls, working with the operations manager and admissions coordinator to ensure smooth operations, collaborating with the clinical director to screen referrals, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an associate degree in medical assisting or medical associate certification from an accredited medical assistant program; Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a clinical setting, preferably in wound care, home health, or a related field, is desirable.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing patient needs and clinical environments.
