Job description

  • Location Alabaster, AL
  • Department Greenvale Peds Alabaster
  • Schedule - Shift - Hours - Days Full-time - Day shift - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - monday - friday
Responsible for providing support to physician and nursing staff and receiving patients and their families.
  • Call and accompany the patient from the waiting room to the exam room. Triage patient obtaining brief history, reason for the visit and other procedures needed to prepare the patient for the physician’s exam
  • Assist the doctor with patient preparation (i.e., history, physicals, obtaining specimens, vital signs, age- appropriate measurements, reason for visit, etc.)
  • Fill out forms for school (i.e., immunization forms, sports, WIC, etc.)
  • Assist with child during examinations.
  • Dress minor wounds when necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize exam rooms between patients.
  • Distribute educational brochures and pamphlets.
  • Chart maintenance.
  • Perform audio and visual testing.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Education

High school diploma or equivalentrequired.

Experience

One yearof experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is required

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

BCLS certification within 30 days of employment.
