REPORTS TO: Front Office Manager

Purpose of the Role

The Front Office Agent checks guests in/out, manages room and miscellaneous postings, secures credit, answers questions, handles calls, and provides excellent guest service to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Greet, register, and assign rooms.
  • Verify credit and payment methods.
  • Maintain records of availability and guest accounts.
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and handle cash.
  • Perform bookkeeping and balance accounts.
  • Issue keys and escort instructions.
  • Review accounts during check-out.
  • Post charges manually or electronically.
  • Transmit and receive messages.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Make and confirm reservations.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services and directions.
  • Record comments or complaints and refer to management.
  • Notify housekeeping of vacated rooms.
  • Answer phones promptly.
  • Complete account checks to ensure standards.
