Job summary

Chick-fil-A Austin Peay is seeking enthusiastic Team Members for mornings. You’ll receive hands-on training, a clear growth path, and work with a locally owned restaurant brand focused on guest service.

No prior restaurant experience is required, and you’ll be taught everything you need to know. Morning shifts start early, Sundays are closed, and a positive, coachable attitude is valued for growth within the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and serve food to Chick-fil-A quality standards.
• Work with focus and urgency during busy periods.
• Provide warm, genuine hospitality to every guest.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leaders.
• Follow food-safety, portioning, quality, and equipment procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment including grills and fryers.
• Stock supplies and help unload and organize deliveries.
• Keep the restaurant clean and safe by cleaning work areas.
• Support the team wherever help is needed.

Morning Restaurant Team Member — Austin Peay

Schedule Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Opening shifts may begin as early as 5:00 a.m.
• Morning shifts end between 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
• Reliable availability for the schedule agreed upon at hiring is required
• Opportunity for premium pay for restaurant openers and overtime is available
• We like to keep you on a set schedule for predictability
• Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, assemble, and serve food according to Chick-fil-A quality standards
• Work with focus and urgency during busy periods
• Provide warm, genuine hospitality to every guest
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leaders
• Follow food-safety, portioning, quality, and equipment procedures
• Operate and care for kitchen equipment, including grills and fryers
• Stock supplies and help unload and organize deliveries
• Keep the restaurant clean and safe by sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and cleaning work areas and equipment
• Support the team wherever help is needed

You do not need previous experience, but you must be willing to work hard, learn, and contribute to the team. We’re looking for people who:

• Honor the availability—including mornings, nights, or weekends—that they commit to when hired

Serving others takes effort, especially during busy shifts. We need Team Members who can stay focused, maintain a good attitude, and take pride in doing their part.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand for periods of up to five hours
• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds
• Bend, reach, walk, and work safely around hot kitchen equipment
• Perform basic math and measurement tasks
• Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Have a great attitude
