Job description

Overview

The Front of House Security Manager is responsible for overseeing security and guest service matters at NOW Arena during event days only. This position provides oversight, direction and supervision of all matters related to safety, security and customer service related to the public.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $30.00.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees all security and safety to ensure the highest possible level of security, safety and comfort to all patrons.
  • Identify, control, and rectify all safety and liability exposures. Recommends and implements changes or improvements as needed.
  • Directs investigations related to security incidents.
  • Serves as liaison and works closely with staff in all matters involving show security/traffic and safety.
  • Address customer service and security issues during events including ticket issue, seat relocations, guest service matters, etc.
  • Monitor security issues during events and adjust staffing positions and duties to address problems.
  • Liaise with tour security lead to understand the needs of the event and allocate security staff to address those requirements.
  • Help to execute security plan for each event to ensure vital areas are covered by security positions and ensure security staff is properly briefed prior the event start.
  • Asist in managing NOW Arena’s third-party security staff to optimize performance.
  • Work extended and or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned to support company and/or facility goals.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of five plus years of responsible management experience in security or law enforcement with demonstrated responsibility for security, safety, investigations and asset and infrastructure protection.
  • Police and/or law enforcement background preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • CPR certification and other emergency/life-saving techniques.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

Skills and Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of the problems, issues, philosophies, principles, tactics, and procedures related to the management of security and safety services.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles and techniques of planning, implementing and supervising a facility security force.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Required to speak and understand basic English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required

Computer Skills

  • Operate a personal computer using Windows, Office and other standard office equipment.
