Job summary

Suser Restaurant Group is seeking a Front of House Manager (Hourly) to lead and motivate our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee daily operations, staffing, and service flow, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of supervisory experience, strong communication, and a proven ability to train and develop staff in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
• Proven ability to train and lead a team in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent math and numerical accuracy for cash handling and reporting.
• Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the front of house team to achieve guest service goals.
• Manage daily front of house operations to ensure smooth service on each shift.
• Act as manager in the General Manager’s absence.
• Oversee cash handling and enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are followed in the restaurant.
• Maintain high guest-service standards and resolve issues professionally.
• Coordinate floor operations and guest flow with staff and kitchen.

The Role

The Front of House Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for enthusiastically leading and motivating the team to deliver the highest levels of guest service. This role manages the restaurant along side or in the absence of the General Manager and oversees the daily front of house operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, train, and develop the front of house team, creating an environment where enthusiastic people are recognized and rewarded for achieving both organizational and personal goals
• Manage daily front of house operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout every shift
• Serve as acting manager in the absence of the General Manager, taking full responsibility for restaurant operations
• Oversee all cash controls and enforce company policies and procedures
• Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed within the restaurant
• Maintain high standards of guest service, resolving any issues promptly and professionally
• Monitor floor operations, assist staff as needed, and ensure proper table management and guest flow
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
• Uphold and model company culture, values, and standards at all times

• Proven ability to train, guide, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
• Excellent written, verbal, math, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence and discretion
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
