Description

JOB SUMMARY: Provide general clerical support including a variety of word processing assignments for the Oklahoma City Area Office's Office of Environmental Health and Engineering and Purchase and Referred Care Divisions.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Physically located at the front receptionist desk, at the entrance of the Oklahoma City Area Office.
  • Answer the telephone and receive visitors, providing routine information such as names, locations, room numbers, and telephone extensions.
  • Direct calls to the appropriate person or office.
  • Perform word processing of various materials such as memoranda, letters, reports, and forms, using word processors or personal computers.
  • Type materials in final form unless a draft is requested, using appropriate terminology.
  • File materials according to an authorized system, including correspondence, directives, medical records, and reports.
  • Maintain and update the master index, establish new folders, and manage publications.
  • Screen files and prepare materials for destruction according to regulations.
  • Search files and extract information for reports, staff studies, and policy formation.
  • Receive incoming mail, log data, and forward to responsible personnel.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Background check required.
