Overview

Waste Pro has immediate openings for Energetic CDL Drivers!

We’re hiring CDL drivers for Waste Pro’s front‑load operations. Thousands of trucks serve millions of customers and we need professional, experienced, hardworking, and dedicated drivers to keep our service running efficiently.

Summary of Position

The Front Load Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre‑assigned and special routes to pick up garbage. Performs pre‑trip and post‑trip truck checks and cleaning and other related work as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate front‑end, side, rear‑end, or roll‑off loading refuse trucks, including right‑hand driver’s position on certain equipment.
• Empty front load containers using cab levers and transport waste to local landfill or disposal area.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, including vehicle condition reports, mileage and fuel logs, and use of leak detection and safety equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and report any complaints to internal contacts.
• Maintain a clean truck, washing exterior weekly and cleaning packer blade and truck body after each landfill run.
• Record route, productivity sheets, mileage, fuel consumption, log books, and other reports.
• Assist in handling hazardous materials, making safe decisions regarding load restrictions.
• Attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL valid in the state of employment; safe driving record required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to understand refuse collection policies and DOT/State requirements.
• Normal hearing and vision (with or without correction); normal range of body motion.
• Strong body mechanics to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly, with no assistance.
• Strong communication skills in English for customers, coworkers and dispatch.
• Physical ability to work 8–12 hour shifts in varied weather conditions.

Work Environment

Varied weather conditions, noise, vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust. Requires shift work and travel between collection locations.

Special Considerations / Physical Work Requirements

• Push or pull 50 pounds independently 120–150 times per day.
• Lift 50 pounds from ground to waist height independently 120–150 times per day.
• Get up and down from cab 120–150 times per day.
• Bend at waist and knees 120–150 times per day.
• Work 8–12 hours in extreme weather.
