City Fitness is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist to greet members, handle access control, and help create a welcoming environment. You will assist with basic clerical tasks, answer questions, and direct requests while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities include smoothie preparation and sales, inventory support, and upholding gym policies in a fast-paced setting. This position offers both full-time and part-time shifts with on-site work in Hoboken.

City Fitness is looking for a customer service champion, a chief of chatter, a first impressions director/good‑day protector, to work our front desk reception and help City Fitness be the best part of our member's day! This role serves as the face of the organization and the initial point of contact for all members and guests. In addition to clerical tasks, this role functions as a facilitator, engaging members, directing requests, and escalating matters when necessary. Specific duties include greeting members and guests, access control, preparing and selling smoothies, answering questions, inventory management, and keeping work areas clean and organized. Qualified candidates will possess strong communication skills and a passion for fitness and helping others.
This role supports both Full‑Time and Part‑Time positions. Available shifts include early morning, mid‑day, evening, and weekend hours. All schedules require a physical on‑site presence, as very little to no function of this position may be completed remotely. Shift assignments are established at the time of hire and should remain consistent within reason.
This job operates in both a gym and office environment where noise levels vary from quiet to loud throughout the day. This role routinely works with a combination of standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and scanners. Individuals must be computer literate and comfortable working with a variety of computer software and information systems.
