Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Front-Line Leader to oversee manufacturing activities in the Rotors Service Center on the 1st shift. The role supervises up to 25 union-represented employees to maximize throughput, safety and quality while controlling costs.

Responsibilities include directing daily work, applying discipline when needed, and aligning with the local union agreement. Cross-functional collaboration is essential for continuous improvement and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing environment experience.
• At least 3 years proven success in a professional leadership role preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, detail oriented, data driven with urgency.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work multiple shifts.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Experience/training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired.
• Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
• Machining experience preferred.

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.

This position is onsite at the Rotors Service Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

This position is 1st Shift (7:00AM-4:00PM) – Will have mandatory OT weekend shift (rotation typically every 4 weeks).

Rotors System Center Front Line Leader:

The Front-Line Leader is responsible for the overall execution and performance of an assigned area.

This includes but is not limited to the general assigning, managing and directing of the daily manufacturing activities of up to 25 union covered employees within their assigned area to attain economy of operations, maximize throughput, and ensure profitable production of parts.

The Front-Line Leader will also be responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations.

What you'll be doing as a Front-Line Leader:

• Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.
• Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.
• Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Utilize metrics driven accountability for performance: TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.
• Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, etc.).
• Develop, support, and implement process improvements.
• Evaluate business impact in regard to metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, manpower, etc.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership, communication and organization skills.

What you need to be successful:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing environment experience is required
• At least 3 years proven success in a professional leadership role is preferred

Assigned to a distribution environment. Must be able to assist direct reports. Uses computer terminal frequently. Interfaces with other managerial, office and hourly employees on a regular basis with various forms of communication. Required to wear appropriate PPE (i.e., safety glasses).
