Big Trees Village is seeking a Front Gate Attendant for the summer season to manage member and guest entries at the Recreation Center, verify memberships, and process daily passes. You will operate the Square system, handle cash, and maintain accurate daily cash records.

The role takes place in a scenic mountain private community with a family-friendly atmosphere and a flexible summer schedule.

• Minimum age 14 on first day of employment.
• CA Work Permit (Form B1-4) required if under 18 on first day of employment.
• Customer service experience desired but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patrons with friendliness and courtesy.
• Verify membership status for everyone entering the facility.
• Sign in members and track accompanying guests.
• Promote and discuss membership options to prospective members.
• Learn and use Square to process memberships and daily passes.
• Handle cash and count change accurately.
• Record starting and ending cash daily.
• Do not leave the Front Gate unattended.
• Provide daily attendee counts and sign-in lists to the manager.
• Direct guests with questionable memberships to the Office for assistance.
• Thank patrons on exit and invite them to return tomorrow.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Front Gate Attendant – Big Trees Village

Location: Big Trees Village (BTV), Camp Connell
Season: Summer: Memorial Day through Labor Day
Employment Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Seasonal)

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Recreation Center Activities Manager, the Front Gate Attendant (FGA) is responsible for keeping track of the members and guests entering the Big Trees Village Recreation Center and will perform related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Will be friendly, courteous, and welcoming to all patrons
• Will verify the membership status of everyone entering the facility while on duty
• Will take responsibility for signing in members and will keep track of the number of accompanying family members and/or guests who enter the facility
• Will promote the membership options to prospective members
• Will discuss the different features of each membership option to prospective members
• Will learn and utilize the Square system to process new memberships and/or daily pool passes
• Will collect cash from patrons, if applicable, and count change back to them accurately
• Will record starting cash amount and ending cash amount daily
• Will not leave the Front Gate unattended
• Will provide a total count of the attendees as well as the sign-in list to the Recreation Center Activities Manager at the end of each day
• Will direct those with questionable membership to the Office (the people being questioned will walk to the office via the path outside the gate) for assistance
• Will thank patrons for coming, as they exit the facility for the day and welcome them back for tomorrow (or the next open day
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Schedule & Compensation

• Flexible summer schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Competitive seasonal pay ($17-$18.50 per hr, based on experience)
