Job summary

Apple in Seattle is seeking a Front End Web Engineer to own end-to-end UI development for internal apps and services. You will collaborate with server and client engineers, translate requirements, and contribute to infrastructure across the stack. Knowledge of backend languages is a bonus.

Qualifications

Experience with developing rich, interactive and well-performing user interfaces.
React/Redux/WebPack or equivalent frameworks for front end development.
Jest / Enzyme or equivalent unit-testing experience.
Familiarity with additional UI testing platforms (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, TestCafe).
Working experience with NodeJS and Typescript.
BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Own the full front-end lifecycle — architect, design, implement, test, and iterate on user interfaces for impactful internal web applications and services.
Build high-quality, performant experiences where quality and performance are treated as non-negotiable, not afterthoughts.
Collaborate across the stack — partner closely with server engineers, other client engineers, operations, and product teams to design and deliver end-to-end features.
Translate customer needs into interfaces by working directly with internal customers to understand requirements and shape intuitive, engaging solutions.
Contribute to shared infrastructure and tooling that supports the team's applications and improves developer velocity.
Champion modern web technologies — evaluate, adopt, and apply groundbreaking front-end tools and patterns to raise the bar on user experience.
Write and maintain automated tests to safeguard quality and prevent regressions across the UI.
Continuously learn and grow — ramp up on unfamiliar technologies across the stack (including backend languages where helpful) to contribute wherever the team needs you.
