Job summary

Apple is seeking a Front End Web Engineer to drive UI development across internal web apps and services. You will collaborate with backend teams and other engineers to deliver high-performance interfaces from architecture to deployment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years building consumer-facing SPAs with JavaScript ES6+, React/Redux, and strong testing practices. Knowledge of NodeJS and TypeScript is a plus, with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building consumer-facing SPAs in JavaScript ES6+ and HTML/CSS.
• Experience delivering rich, interactive, high-performance user interfaces.
• Proficient with React/Redux; familiar with WebPack and unit testing (Jest/Enzyme).
• Working knowledge of NodeJS and TypeScript; exposure to UI testing tools.
• BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own all phases of UI development from architecture and design to implementation.
• Collaborate with internal customers and backend developers on the team and others.
• Partner with server and client engineers to implement infrastructure and product features.
• Be proactive in learning and applying new frontend technologies as needed.

Description

As a Front End Web Engineer, your responsibilities will include all phases of user interface development. From architecture and design to implementation and user engagement. You will work with our internal customers and backend developers both on the team and others.You will be working together with Server and other client engineers owning all the components of our stack, operations, and product teams to implement infrastructure and add product features vital for our efforts. We don't expect prior experience with all the technologies involved, but you will be encouraged to learn to use them optimally. Knowledge of backend languages like Python and Java are a bonus, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years professional experience building and debugging consumer-facing single-page applications in JavaScript ES6+, HTML/CSS
• Experience with developing rich, interactive and well-performing user interfaces
• React/Redux/WebPack or equivalent frameworks for front end development
• Jest / Enzyme or equivalent unit-testing experience
• Familiarity with additional UI testing platforms (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, TestCafe)
• Working experience with NodeJS and Typescript
• BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
