Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• 1–2 years in retail or grocery with supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and inventory management practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversees cashier activities to ensure efficient and accurate transactions.
• Monitors checkout lines to minimize wait times and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues promptly.
• Trains new cashiers on checkout procedures, customer service standards and product knowledge.
• Addresses disciplinary issues with Front-End Manager per company policies.
• Ensures front end staff receive breaks.
• Works with Front End Manager on cash handling procedures and security.
• Enforces cash handling policies and conducts regular cash audits.
• Greets customers and provides assistance as needed.
• Resolves customer complaints or escalates to Store Leadership as necessary.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.
• Ensures safety and sanitation standards are followed.
• Ensures compliance with regulations including food safety guidelines.
