Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact, by name if possible during transactions.
• Monitors the flow of front end, keeps track of breaks.
• Provides extensive customer service, answers questions, responds to complaints, processes money orders and rentals, sells stamps and bus passes, and issues rain checks.
• Processes customer returns, audits tills, and handles change orders for the service center.
• Supervises courtesy clerks and general clerks.
• Responsible for handling large sums of money safely.
• Performs outs and drops from cashier tills and clears register locks as needed.
• Maintains register accuracy and price integrity.
• Fronts shelves and keeps work area clean and organized; performs hourly floor checks.
• Duties of a courtesy and general clerk if needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager.
