Job description

As an engineer at Bask, you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to build and design the software infrastructure that will serve as the backbone of telehealth.

We are looking to expand our software engineering team, seeking individuals with a deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit.

Our serverless platform is built using Next.js, Drizzle, and SST for a powerful multi-tenant application.

Fluency in these frameworks, along with Typescript and Three.js, is essential.

What You'll Do

1. Design, build, and implement new services through the full development cycle: write elegant, well-tested code in a modern technology stack. Build libraries and frameworks to enable rapid development and deliver value to users.
2. Collaborate closely with the product team: make architecture and design decisions, participate in stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives, and help foster an engineering culture focused on simple, intuitive, high-impact experiences.
3. Be an engineering generalist: from developing servers and databases to API integration, UI implementation, and taking end-to-end ownership across the full development lifecycle.
4. Build from 0 to 1: scale and automate existing services while introducing new innovations. Contribute to product strategy and development in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Who We're Looking For

• A full-stack generalist with experience taking a product from 0-1.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to roll up sleeves and passionate about disrupting the healthcare industry.
• Strong frontend skills: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Three.js, JavaScript.
• Backend skills: SST, Drizzle, SQL, Node.
• Ability to work independently, owning entire projects or large areas of the codebase.
• Experience building paid products and services is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical problems, constraints, and timelines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment.
