Job summary

Food City is seeking an internship-position to supervise front-end operations, ensure customer service standards, and oversee cash handling and security procedures on-site. The role involves coordinating cashiers, fuel associates, and related duties to maintain smooth store operations.

Applicants should be 18+, able to follow instructions, and capable of working on-site with regular shifts. Food City offers a supportive team environment and exposure to store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard Physical and Mental demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain efficient and courteous service to customers at all times to ensure that the “No more than two customers waiting in line” policy is followed.
• Supervise and monitor the total functions of the front end.
• Supervise and monitor all cashiers, courtesy clerks, and fuel associates.
• Supervise and monitor the computer room operator and coordinate lane pick-ups.
• Maintain security of safe and change funds.
• Count safe during scheduled shifts.
• Know and enforce security policies and procedures for store safes and keep safes locked at all times.
