Job summary

Stew Leonard's in Clifton, NJ is seeking a FT Front End Assistant Manager to oversee the Front End department. The role pays $19.30–$20.00 per hour with full-time benefits, depending on qualifications and experience.

With limited supervision, you will assist with department operations, supervise Front End staff, and coordinate events. Responsibilities include scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years' experience.
• Able to operate a cash register.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; HRIS, item maintenance system, STCR for registers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front End Supervisor functions.
• Assist cashiers with register issues.
• Assist in Front End and customer service areas.
• Coordinate events for customers.
• Attend department and managers meetings.
• Hire, promote, train team members.
• Provide performance feedback and appraisals.
• Prepare schedules and manage payroll timing.
• Ensure health, safety and sanitation compliance.
