Job summary

IAA, an RB Global company, seeks a Loader Operator to assist with yard operations at our Ashland, VA location. You will use a front-end loader to maneuver vehicles and equipment, perform basic maintenance, and help prepare items for auction.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory, documenting vehicle info, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma (or equivalent).
• An upbeat demeanor to ensure positive customer interactions is necessary.
• Forklift or front-end loader experience is a plus.
• Automotive and collision repair knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a front-end loader to move vehicles and equipment around the facility.
• Load and unload trucks delivering or picking up vehicles.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance to ensure loader is safe.
• Maintain accurate lot inventory of vehicles and parts.
• Document vehicle information and perform light prep (shrink wrap, steam cleaning) for sale.
• Assist visitors with directions and referrals to the right person for assistance.
• Remain calm and vigilant, avoiding hazards while operating heavy equipment.
• Maintain a safe outdoor work environment and report policy violations promptly.
