Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc. seeks a skilled loader operator to support asphalt and construction projects in Alabama. The role requires safe operation of loading equipment with at least two years of on-site experience, attention to utilities, and adherence to safety standards.

You will record time and materials, perform routine maintenance, and follow trenching and shoring guidelines while traveling between job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform minor servicing and maintenance; report major problems.
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks.

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment. Must have at least two years experience operating a Loader either on road construction projects or in a quarry and or asphalt plant

Requirements:

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor. Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
• Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel.
• Knowledge of equipment and their uses
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
