Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate at our Goose Creek, SC store to deliver fast, friendly service and support the Customer Service Manager in maintaining front end standards.

You will greet customers, assist with cashier duties and MVP savings center, keep the front end neat, and follow store policies and safety guidelines. Prior high school diploma preferred; strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible
• Maintain knowledge of front end procedures including cash reports and deposits
• Maintain front end area neat and clean and ensure proper cash handling
• Assist with cashier duties and MVP savings center operations
• Adhere to all store guidelines, policies and safety procedures
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and notify management as needed
