Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Front End Software Developer to craft the user-facing portion of our web application. You will translate wireframes and visual specs into responsive interfaces, connect to backend services via RESTful APIs or GraphQL, and ensure performance and security best practices.

You will collaborate with UI/UX teams to deliver a seamless user experience, write unit and end-to-end tests, and work within a Lean Agile environment on customer-site projects in

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education, certifications or work experience
• 8+ years of experience in front-end development
• Proficiency in JavaScript with ES6+ features and modern frameworks (React or Lit)
• Experience with Java and front-end markup languages, implementing responsive designs with Bootstrap
• Ability to translate wireframes and mockups with UI/UX designers to ensure strong user experience
• Experience integrating front-end with back-end services using RESTful APIs or GraphQL
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (Playwright, Jest, Mocha, Cypress) to create unit/integration/end-to-end tests
• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and location on Customer Site in McLean, VA
• US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Develop user-facing features for the web application
