Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Front End Engineer Senior Principal to help transform mission-critical government software. You’ll design and deliver modern web apps using Angular, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, shaping scalable user experiences for complex search interfaces.

You’ll bring 8–10 years of software development experience, a Bachelor’s degree in CS or Electrical/Computer Engineering, US citizenship and TS/SCI with Poly clearance.

As a Front- End Software Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission. You will play a crucial role as a member of a talented team of engineers who develop, sustain, upgrade, and enhance software and full system solutions using the latest development tools, libraries, and techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• Experience: 8-10 years of related software development experience
• Technical skills: Extensive experience with Angular, Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, experience designing complex search interfaces, experience in optimizing web applications for performance and usability, experience integrating with third part API's, proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, experience with Linux operating systems.
• Desired Qualifications: Experience with SASS or LESS, hands-on experience working with NodeJS, MongoDB, familiarity constructing Elasticsearch queries.
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
• US citizenship required
