Job summary

Amazon is seeking a world-class front-end engineer to design and build scalable UI components for a highly visited site. You will transform UX designs into robust code and collaborate with product and design teams to elevate the customer experience.

You will work with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks, shipping features in weeks, not years, and contributing to an open source design system. The role demands strong CS fundamentals and a passion for user-centric interfaces.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience.
• 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Use technology to solve user interface and UX problems.
• Transform defined software and UX design into code and deliver it on schedule using languages, libraries, and rendering technologies (e.g. JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, Java, Objective C).
• Retrieve data from existing sources, using appropriate technologies for your platform and use cases.
• Work backwards from the customer and collaborate with Product and Design to iterate on the best possible user experience.
