Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Front-end Engineer 4 on the Cars and Ground Transportation team. You’ll own end-to-end frontend architecture, delivering high-performing features for 100M+ customers and mentoring junior engineers.

You’ll collaborate with product managers to shape design, drive AI-assisted development practices, and advance performance, accessibility, and scalable micro-frontend architectures across the travel platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience developing applications using TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-performing features for 100M+ customers, engaging and simple.
• Provide technical leadership for front-end architecture and design patterns.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, share AI-assisted development practices.
• Grow expertise in performance, accessibility, and architecture.
• Lead design of BFFs, MFEs, and federated architectures.
• Champion AI tooling and modern web technologies in the team.
