Job summary

LA International is seeking a Front End Engineer for a 12-month contract with extensions. The role is hybrid with 2 days onsite in London, Manchester or Leeds. Daily rate is £400-£500 via Umbrella.

You will develop frontend applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript, ensure secure CI/CD workflows, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software. Applicants should be proficient with RESTful APIs, testing tools, and modern web development practices, and be comfortable working

Qualifications

• Extensive frontend experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Security practices and CI/CD workflow understanding.
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Selenium/Cypress/Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend apps in React using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Contribute to security best practices including secrets management and CI/CD pipelines.
• Create end-to-end automation tests as part of release frameworks.
• Integrate RESTful APIs in frontend applications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize NodeJS, Git/GitHub, Jest/React Testing Library.

Front End Engineer

12 Month contract initially + Extensions

Based: Hybrid, 2 days onsite in London or Manchester or Leeds (whichever is most convenient)

Rate: £400 - £500 p/d - (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities

As per above summary in "In scope Technologies & Products" plus

• Extensive experience in writing frontend applications within the React Framework in JavaScript or Typescript
• Applied understanding of security best practises including secrets management, building into a CICD workflow
• Experience creating end-to‑to‑end automation testing as part of a release framework using common industry tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
• Integrating RESTful APIs in frontend Applications
• Building and maintaining CICD pipelines
• Applied familiarity with industry tools, NodeJS, Git/GitHub, Jest/React testing Library.

Key Skills/knowledge/experience

• JavaScript/TypeScript, React JS, Node JS
• Jest Unit Testing & automated Functional Testing (e.g. Playwright, Cypress)
• Experience building and deploying applications to Cloud (Azure & GCP)
• Git / GitHub
