The Role
Dutch Pet, Inc. seeks a Front-end Engineer in Oakland, CA to build, maintain, and optimize digital platforms for virtual veterinary care and telemedicine. Design digital user interfaces and websites, and develop and test layouts, interfaces, functionality, and navigation menus to ensure compatibility and usability across browsers or devices. Transform wireframes and design concepts into functional web applications using modern front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Develop and deploy different versions of a feature to determine which one performs better, using data to inform product decisions and drive conversions. Optimize applications for speed and performance, and ensure they are compatible across different browsers and devices. Build responsive storefronts using Shopify, Vue and Tailwind, and work with Shopify Storefront and Admin APIs, and Shopify Checkout UI Extensions. Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure data flows smoothly, as well as with UI/UX designers to implement design concepts that align with the brand. Keep up-to-date on new technologies and tools to bring innovative ideas to the company\'s products.
May work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Telecommuting may be available.
