Job summary

One Vision in Garner, IA is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Front-End Day Overlay Schedule on a 12-hour shift model, designed to support work-life balance while making a lasting impact. As a DSP, you will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living tasks, promote independence, support community involvement, and drive to outings.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided
• 18+ years old
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility
• Comfortable with basic technology for documentation
• Pass background checks and health screenings
• Completion of required training and certifications (paid by us)

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, hygiene, laundry, and medications
• Encourage independence, confidence, and personal growth
• Support recreational activities and community involvement
• Drive individuals to outings, appointments, and events
• Keep accurate documentation through electronic systems
• Help manage personal finances and grocery shopping
