Position Summary

The Loader Operator reports to the Plant Manager and supports production teamwork with secondary supervision. Main duties include safely charging ready mix plants and materials (sand and gravel), maintaining stockpile areas, and servicing the loader. Collaboration with Batchmen and Mixer Operators is essential, as they are considered the Loader Operator's "Customers".

Position is located in Beaumont, TX

Requirements

• Operate loader to transfer material from yard to storage bins
• Perform daily maintenance such as greasing, tire pressure checks, oil, and fluid levels
• Sign and verify raw material delivery tickets
• Conduct daily pre and post trip inspections on the plant and loader
• Help maintain environmental compliance in the plant yard
• Assist with inventory and cleanup tasks
• Report issues to maintenance and management
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance
• Assist other plant operations as needed, including cross-training
• Must be physically capable of working in high places, climbing, and lifting heavy objects
• Use hand tools and perform loader maintenance
• Adopt a team-oriented, flexible attitude
• Drive long distances as required
• Minimum six months experience with front-end loaders

Preferred Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Heavy equipment operation experience preferred
• No CDL required

Physical Requirements

• Climb stairs and ladders, reach, squat, and work in various environmental conditions
• Lift and move objects of various sizes and weights
• Operate controls with hands and feet
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including high noise and heights up to 100 feet
• Climb and inspect loaders and conveyor systems regularly
• Read delivery tickets and maps
• Perform cleaning and minor repairs using hand tools
• Work in confined spaces and in various physical positions

Working Conditions

Majority of work is outdoors, operating equipment in all weather conditions. Exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc. is possible. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays is required.
