Title: Front End Developer

Location: Remote – Anywhere in the contiguous US

Compensation: Anticipated compensation for this position is $135-160k* base salary.

Our Platforms team is launching a brand-new responsive UI for the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX)—FranklinCovey’s proven framework for driving strategic focus and accountability. This platform will reach learners on mobile and desktop, support over 20 languages, and integrate deeply into our evolving suite of learning tools. We are assembling a skilled team, including a team lead, designers, and backend engineers, to bring this experience to life.

As a Software Engineer II focused on frontend accessibility, you will help build this interface from the ground up. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and product peers to build scalable, maintainable components that work for everyone—regardless of device, language, or ability. You’ll bring strong execution skills and a focus on quality to ensure we deliver a robust and delightful experience.

Essential Job Functions

Build

  • You will ship regularly and iteratively, writing testable, readable, and maintainable code.
  • You’ll build accessible, performant React components that support both desktop and mobile use cases.
  • Help architect and implement internationalization support to enable translations in 20+ languages.

Collaborate

  • Engineers participate early in the product development process. You will review quantitative and qualitative research about our clients and learners and weigh in on the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Advocate for and implement accessibility from day one, ensuring we meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA standards.

Support

  • You will work with the product, design, and support teams to ensure users get the most value from the products you've built.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on accessibility standards and practices.

Additional Key Responsibilities

  • Focus primarily on frontend technologies, including React and JavaScript, while being open to full-stack work as needed.
  • Work on a responsive web application built for high usage across mobile and desktop devices.
  • Continuously improve your area of the codebase through refactoring, optimization, and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate in a high-trust environment that values written communication, shared standards, and peer mentorship.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on frontend, accessible development.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and techniques, such as screen readers, color contrast analyzers, and keyboard navigation testing.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of modern frontend architectures and state management.
  • In-depth knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG guidelines.
  • Proven experience shipping accessible interfaces and guiding accessibility considerations in product development.
  • Experience building mobile-responsive applications across diverse browsers and platforms.
  • Excellent written communication skills—this is a team that works via written words, so not it’s just an ability to write, but a desire to drive change via writing.

  • Familiarity with internationalization libraries or translation workflows for global applications.
