Job summary

Atlas Tech is seeking a motivated React GUI Developer to join a mission-focused engineering team supporting DoD customers. You will design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based interfaces for tactical network applications on Red Hat Linux platforms.

The role offers telework up to 2 days per week, with potential schedule adjustments. Travel up to 10% may be required; candidate must be a US citizen with DoD secret clearance and strong Linux/DevOps skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with DoD Secret clearance.
• 5 years of Python/ReactJS/TypeScript experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux.

Responsibilities

• Maintain RHEL servers.
• Administer KVM and Docker/Podman.
• Develop apps in Python, ReactJS, TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible.
• Maintain source code in Git repositories.
• Support ECRs and installation documentation.
• Research and resolve software trouble reports.
• Ensure DoD STIG compliance.

In this role, you will work with our U.S. Navy customer to design, implement, and maintain high-reliability web-based graphical interfaces for tactical network applications. This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

You Will

• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman)
• Develop software applications in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript on Red Hat Linux platforms
• Automate tasks using Bash or Ansible
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality
• Ensure compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance

You Have

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must currently possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Experience developing applications using Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Background in User Interface Design / HFI
• Experience developing solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry

We’d Be Impressed If You Had

• Experience with Navy systems
• A Linux OS certification
• IP Networking experience

Education/Experience

• BS Degree in relevant technical field or combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain the following certs within 3 months of start date:
• CompTIA Security+ CE
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• Professional Scrum Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
• 5 years developing in Python, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with Red Hat or similar Linux distributions
• Experience automating tasks using Bash or Ansible
