Gerrity's Supermarkets is seeking a Front End Cashier to operate the register system and provide fast, courteous checkout service at our Front End. This part-time role requires reliable attendance, adherence to dress code, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

The position emphasizes accurate cash handling, customer interaction, and knowledge of promotions while maintaining a neat workstation and complying with company policies.

Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirement needed.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Willing to work part-time and weekends.
• Must be able to move and/or lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers when approaching the workstation.
• Bag orders and thank the customer.
• Know the complete register system and operate it accurately.
• Balance cash drawer and maintain drawer accountability.
• Keep Front End area neat and organized.
• Promote and communicate store promotions to customers.
• Follow safety policies and dress code.
• Be present at workstation at shift start.
