Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet customers and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt, grouping items to aid bagging.
• Check carts for missed items before completing orders.
• Follow bagging procedures by bag type.
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Avoid personal conversations when customers are present.
• Handle cash, checks, coupons, gift cards, partner cards, food stamps and WIC vouchers per procedures.
• Follow procedures for refunds and corrections.
• Maintain accurate cash control.
• Perform overrides following procedures.
• Offer to take orders to customers' cars when needed.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance to service customers per standards.
• Check prices quickly and accurately.
• Be courteous and helpful to colleagues.
• Wear uniform with name badge; be neat and in dress-code compliance.
• Retrieve carts from parking lot using tether strap per standard practice.
• Keep workstation and front end neat and clean.
• Report register malfunctions to management.
• Keep MVP savings center KIOSK stocked and functioning.
• Adhere to company guidelines, policies and practices.
• Monitor and correct unsafe conditions.
• Notify QA of cleaning or maintenance needs on front end.
• Complete computer-based training (CBT) and related courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
