New Seasons Market in Portland, Oregon is seeking a friendly Cashier to operate the front end, ring up items, and assist customers with carry-outs.

You will work with POS systems, maintain a clean and organized checkout area, and follow safety and attendance guidelines. Prior retail or grocery experience is preferred, and you should be willing to learn company policies and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, food service, retail or grocery is preferred.
• Must complete and maintain food and work safety trainings/certifications.
• Engages customers to exceed expectations and enhance the experience.

Responsabilités

• Rings up and bags groceries using POS best practices and assists with carry-outs.
• Assists customers in Self-checkout areas with high engagement.
• Prepares Front End for store opening and closing.
• Accountable for cash handling, register and return procedures.
• Processes returns per policy and seeks help for complex cases.
• Maintains organized cash drawer and learns PLUs for accurate orders.
