Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers and use their name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt for bagging convenience.
• Check carts for items before completing orders.
• Follow bagging procedures and use appropriate bags.
• Handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Avoid personal conversations when customers are present.
• Follow cash handling procedures and manage refunds and errors.
• Maintain accurate cash control and perform overrides as needed.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain alertness and service standards in front end areas.
• Check prices quickly and accurately.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
• Retrieve shopping carts and keep front end neat.
• Report store issues to supervisors and ensure MVP KIOSK is stocked.
• Adhere to all guidelines and observe unsafe conditions.
• Complete CBT and training courses and perform other duties as assigned.
