Job summary

ShopRite of EVESHAM ROAD in Cherry Hill, NJ is hiring a cashier to deliver a great customer experience by accurately scanning, pricing, and bagging products, collecting payment, and providing friendly service. The position requires reading and speaking English, basic math, the ability to stand for long periods, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.

Overtime and reliable attendance are expected. The employer notes eligibility for vision, dental, life insurance, paid time off and other benefits;

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle payments.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift, up to 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment per QA standards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Understand operation of cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Accurately identify and scan products and collect proper payment, providing correct change.
• Properly bag customer orders safely and efficiently.
• Perform duties in accordance with company rules, safety requirements and policies.
