Job summary

Kent’s Market is seeking a dedicated Cashier to provide fast, friendly checkout service and help customers find products across the store. You will process payments, issue receipts, and support attention to detail during every transaction.

The ideal candidate can stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and follow ID policies for tobacco and alcohol, while promoting rewards programs and store initiatives at the register.

• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction and percentages required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and checkout procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of current product location and produce codes for fast checkout.
• Assist guests with locating products and answer questions at the register.
• Follow ID policies for checks, tobacco, and alcohol and handle security procedures as directed.
• Engage customers about rewards programs and current promotions at the register.

Cashiers interact directly with customers as they check out items, receive payments, and issue receipts.
