Job summary

Stew Leonard’s Norwalk store is hiring a part-time cashier. You will welcome customers, answer questions, and efficiently process transactions at the register. You’ll bag items, handle money and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires good communication, honesty, and the ability to work in other departments as needed. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to stand for long periods while assisting customers in a busy store setting.

Cashier

Part Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.25 (Min pay to $20.13 depending on qualifications and experience

Must be at least 18 years and older

Position Description:

Cashiers complete the monetary transaction with customers by scanning and weighing products and accepting money, checks, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment for purchases.Operate cash register in food store or outdoor season shops.

• Welcoming customers and answering any questions they have about our products
• Responsible for processing transactions efficiently and accurately
• Bagging items
• Generating the correct amount of change for customer
