Job summary

Kroger in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Front-end Supervisor to deliver outstanding customer service, maintain a safe, clean store, and assist with department goals and schedules. You will help enforce front-end standards and support daily operations with a customer-first mindset.

Excellent communication, stress management, basic math, and prior retail or customer service experience are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent and bilingual abilities are a plus.

• Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews, and take appropriate action on all financial reports.

• Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans to achieve desired results.

• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.

• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
