Job summary

Kroger in Farmington Hills, MI is seeking a Front-end Department Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will supervise front-end staff, respond to customer questions, monitor product knowledge, assist with budgeting and labor scheduling, and ensure accurate cash handling and safety procedures.

• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
