Job summary

Albertsons Companies, a leading grocery retailer, is seeking a Front-End Team Member to support smooth checkout experiences for customers. You will handle transactions, assist with bagging and cart retrieval, and maintain a clean, organized front-end area throughout your shift.

Successful candidates demonstrate friendly communication, basic math skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role requiring friendly, clear communication during checkout and assistance
• Processing purchases accurately across cash, card, and digital payments
• Attention to pricing, scanning accuracy, and order completion
• Basic math skills for cash handling, change counting, and balancing registers
• Organizing multiple tasks while maintaining a steady checkout flow
• Assisting with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and general front-end upkeep
• Recognizing and addressing pricing, transaction, or customer-service questions
• Following store policies, register procedures, and checkout processes
• Comfort with changing tasks and customer flow during shifts
• Standing for extended periods and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the front-end checkout to ensure a smooth experience.
• Handle transactions accurately, including cash, card and digital payments.
• Bag groceries and help with cart retrieval and stocking as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area throughout the shift.
