Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process transactions at the check lane quickly and accurately.
• Understand the POS system and handle cash, checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Stay current with ads and maintain food safety guidelines.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify when repairs are needed.
• Assist customers with product questions to create a welcoming environment.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
