Job summary

Captivation Software seeks a Front-End Developer focused on Section 508 accessibility to build usable interfaces for government-focused applications, collaborating with an Agile team to deliver accessible UI components. You will perform JAWS testing, remediate WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA issues, apply ARIA practices, and integrate accessibility checks into CI/CD with tools like axe-core and Pa11y.

Strong Vue.js front-end experience, semantic HTML, and experience with Jira/Confluence for agile workflow are

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Experience building accessible front-end applications.
• Strong knowledge of Section 508, WCAG, ARIA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain accessible front-end UI components.
• Perform accessibility testing (JAWS) and remediation.
• Audit, document findings, and support agency compliance.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product owners in Agile ceremonies.
• Integrate accessibility checks into CI/CD using tools like axe-core/Lighthouse.
