Job summary

Sirens Entertainment & Sports Bar in Kentucky is seeking a professional Security (Door & Floor) to join our team for late-night, weeknights, and weekend shifts.

You will ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff, performing door checks, floor monitoring, and confident conflict resolution while maintaining composure under pressure.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in nightclub/bar security or event security preferred.
• Open availability for late-night shifts, weeknights, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable personal transportation required.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Calm, dependable and level-headed in tense situations.

Responsibilities

• Front Door Operations: verify ID, enforce policies, manage entry queues, and perform bag checks.
• Floor Monitoring: maintain visibility, monitor crowd dynamics, identify hazards, diffuse conflicts.
• Conflict Resolution: de-escalate verbal/physical confrontations calmly and professionally.
• Guest Relations: provide polite, firm service while upholding safety standards.
• Team Communication: coordinate with management and staff to report incidents.

About the Role

We are seeking sharp, professional, and dependable Security (Door & Floor) to join our team in providing a safe, controlled, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. In this role, Whether working the door as the main greeting point or working the floor, you'll ensure every guest has a great and safe experience.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional situational awareness, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure and authority during challenging or high-stress confrontations.

Key Responsibilities

Front Door Operations: Verify valid identification, enforce dress codes/admission policies, manage entry queues, and conduct bag or safety checks as required.

Floor Monitoring: Maintain active visibility throughout the venue, monitor crowd dynamics, identify potential safety hazards, and proactively diffuse conflicts.

Conflict Resolution: De-escalate verbal and physical confrontations calmly, professionally, and in accordance with venue policies and local laws.

Guest Relations: Provide a polite, firm, and helpful demeanor to ensure positive guest experiences while upholding safety standards.

Team Communication: Work closely with management, bar staff, and fellow security team members to report incidents and maintain control of the environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:Prior experience in nightclub/bar security, event security, military service, and or corrections is strongly preferred.

Availability: Must have open availability for late-night shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Transportation:Must have reliable personal transportation to guarantee punctual arrival for all scheduled shifts.

Communication Skills:Strong ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with diverse crowds and under pressure.

Temperament: Highly dependable, self-controlled, and skilled at remaining level-headed during intense or unpredictable situations.
