Front Desk Supervisor - SpringHill Suites Times Square

Summary
To assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in guest service-related functions. Maintain high standards of service and hospitality. Perform tasks such as scheduling and ensuring all GSRs uphold high customer service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently and courteously.
  • Handle guest mail and messages per established procedures.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, rates, amenities, and selling strategies.
  • Take reservation requests efficiently.
  • Answer switchboard calls following proper etiquette.
  • Block rooms and handle special requests.
  • Monitor room availability and assist AGM and GM with yield management and restrictions.
  • Handle guest safe deposits per procedures.
  • Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable.
  • Understand emergency and security procedures.
  • Offer and handle wake-up call requests properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards for guestrooms.
  • Clean back office area as requested.
  • Open and close shifts, make cash drops.
  • Balance credit cards, cash, and funds during shifts.
  • Report guest or system issues to management.
  • Log pertinent information for incoming staff and management.
  • Notify maintenance of needs.
  • Handle lost and found inquiries appropriately.
  • Wear proper uniform and nametag as per standards.
  • Prepare daily deposits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Schedule front desk shifts based on occupancy forecasts.
  • Assist GSRs with questions and coverage for call-offs.
  • Follow rules in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
