Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Hospitality Desk in Washington, DC to greet tenants and guests, monitor access, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment at financial institutions and commercial real estate locations.

You will provide a visible customer-focused presence, work a daytime and evening schedule, and support security operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in security-related roles.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and clients at a front desk location within commercial real estate and financial institution environments.
• Monitor access to the facility by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and directing guests in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Support security-related procedures by maintaining accurate visitor, contractor, package, and access-control records as required by the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate professionally with building management, tenants, clients, and first responders regarding security-related concerns, unusual activity, and site-specific requests.
