Qualifications: High School Diploma. 2 years experience in a medical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the office/zone is prepared to receive patients by turning on lights, unlocking front doors, and placing sign-in sheets on the front desk counter.
  2. Greet patients upon arrival with a smile, introduce yourself, and welcome new patients.
  3. Inform patients of any delays in clinic/wait times.
  4. Provide patients with the intake tablet and instructions on its use.
  5. Assist patients having difficulty using the tablet.
  6. Ensure patients complete all required intake information.
  7. Verify that the patient’s photo ID and insurance card(s) match the information in Athena, scan new insurance cards, and email changes to the Benefit Department.
  8. Check for valid authorization in the patient’s Athena account.
  9. Verify insurance benefits within the past 90 days.
  10. Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and outstanding balances.
  11. Inform patients about the credit card on file process and obtain signed agreements.
  12. Begin check-in process in Athena.
  13. Print financial agreements or advanced beneficiary notices and obtain signatures.
  14. Upload outside patient imaging CDs into Medview PAC system.
  15. Prepare paperwork for the next day’s clinic.
  16. Schedule follow-up appointments.
  17. Complete end-of-day batches.
  18. Process disability form payments if required.
  19. Scan daily batches in the Z drive and forward documents for scanning to Patient Records.
  20. Inform Zone Lead or Supervisor of any issues to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.
