Front Desk Representative - Largo - Bardmoor

Job Details

Qualifications: High School Diploma. 2 years experience in a medical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the office/zone is prepared to receive patients by turning on lights, unlocking front doors, and placing sign-in sheets on the front desk.
  2. Greet patients upon arrival, introduce yourself, and welcome new patients.
  3. Inform patients of any delays or wait times.
  4. Provide patients with the intake tablet and instructions for use.
  5. Assist patients having difficulty with the tablet.
  6. Ensure all required intake information is completed.
  7. Verify patient’s photo ID and insurance cards match Athena account information; scan new insurance cards and notify Benefit Department of changes.
  8. Verify valid authorization is in the patient’s Athena account.
  9. Ensure insurance benefits are verified within the past 90 days.
  10. Collect co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and outstanding balances.
  11. Inform patients of credit card on file process and obtain signed agreements.
  12. Begin check-in in Athena.
  13. Print financial agreements or notices and obtain signatures.
  14. Prepare paperwork for the next day’s clinic.
  15. Schedule follow-up appointments.
  16. Complete end-of-day batches.
  17. Process disability form payments if needed.
  18. Scan daily batches and forward documents for scanning to Patient Records.
  19. Report any issues to Zone Lead or Supervisor to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.
