Job summary

Gastro Health seeks a Full-Time Front Desk Representative to join our team in a healthcare setting. You will greet patients, manage the practice management system, verify insurance and referrals, collect payments, and maintain a welcoming lobby environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in medical settings, and may have Spanish proficiency and eCW experience. This position offers growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a pleasant and timely manner.
• Create provider records in the practice management system, scan documents and verify insurance information.
• Verify registration forms and obtain referring/primary physician information.
• Ensure patients have current referrals for services.
• Verify benefits and eligibility prior to visits.
• Collect co-pays and post payments; balance daily batch.
• Maintain lobby and reception area.
• Support other duties as assigned.

Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Representative to join our team!

Duties you will be responsible for:

• Greet patients in a pleasant and timely manner.
• Utilize practice management system to create provider records, scan medical records & documents including active medical insurance cards, drivers license or equivalent ID, & maintain insurance information.
• Verify registration forms are complete & obtain referring physician & primary physician information.
• Ensure patient has current referral on date of service. Obtain referral if necessary.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits & procedures.
• Collect all applicable co-payment, coinsurance, deductible or outstanding balance from the patient & post all payments collected.
• Ensure time-of-service batch is balanced and closed daily.
• Research & assist patients with questions regarding balances including collecting applicable payments.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of lobby/reception area to include stocking of business cards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma
• 2+ years experience in medical practice or similar setting
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired
• Willing to travel to different centers
