Job Summary

Should be dynamic, can-do type attitude, organized individual to coordinate front desk activities for a fast-paced Surgical practice. Candidate will provide superior patient service and enhance the patient experience. Must have strong customer service experience, be computer literate, detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, with at least 2 years experience as a receptionist/scheduling coordinator/insurance coordinator in a medical environment. Be open-minded & work as a team player.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  1. Scheduling Appointments, collection of demographics, updating patient information, as necessary, in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing.
  2. Calling on Insurance companies/knowing Navinet, Avality portals, verify coverage, to determine benefit levels and patient co-pays, as needed.
  3. Requesting Prior Authorizations.
  4. Enter information in computer system, experience working with electronic records.
  5. Obtaining all appropriate consent forms.
  6. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 (depends on experience) + yearly bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday, No weekends

Experience:

  1. Insurance verification: 2 years (Preferred)
  2. EHR systems: 2 years (Preferred)
  3. Medical terminology: 2 years (Preferred)
  4. Medical receptionist: 2 years (Preferred)
